Brewed with Purpose, Poured with Pride

Bold flavors, honest ingredients, poured fresh from our taproom.

Our Brewing Philosophy

Small Batch. Big Flavor.

At Iron Peak, we believe great beer starts with obsessive attention to craft. Every batch is brewed in small quantities, with locally sourced hops and malts where possible, and fermented to perfection before it ever touches your glass.

Our head brewer, Marcus Webb, spent a decade honing his craft in Colorado's Front Range before bringing that expertise back to Durango. Every recipe on our tap list is the result of dozens of test batches, each one refined until it's exactly right.

We don't rush the process. Good beer takes time, and our customers deserve the best.

From Grain to Glass

Our brewing process, step by step.

  1. Milling & Mashing

We start by milling whole grain malts and steeping them in hot water to extract fermentable sugars, creating our wort.

  2. Boiling & Hopping

The wort is brought to a rolling boil and hops are added at precise intervals to develop bitterness, flavor, and aroma.

  3. Fermentation

After cooling, our selected yeast strain is pitched. Fermentation typically runs 1-3 weeks depending on the beer style.

  4. Conditioning & QC

Every batch is cold-conditioned and taste-tested by our team before it's approved for the tap list. No shortcuts.

What Our Regulars Say

Iron Peak's West Slope IPA is the best beer I've had in Colorado. Bright citrus, clean bitterness, perfectly balanced. I come back every week just for that pint.

Regular since 2020

The taproom is gorgeous — industrial vibe, warm lighting, great staff. It's become our go-to spot for date nights and catching up with friends.

Locals

Their seasonal Oktoberfest Märzen is a masterpiece. Rich, malty, just the right amount of sweetness. They sell out every year and for good reason.

Craft Beer Enthusiast

I brought my whole team here for a company event and they nailed it. Private space, beer flights, knowledgeable staff. Will absolutely do it again.
