Our Story, Our Mission

For 35 years, Grace Community Church has been a place of worship, service, and belonging in the heart of Durango.

From Small Beginnings

Grace Community Church started in 1991 when a group of twelve families began meeting in a rented community center on Main Avenue. What began as a simple desire to worship together and serve their neighbors has grown into a vibrant congregation of over 450 members.

Our first permanent building was dedicated in 1998. Since then, we have expanded twice to accommodate our growing family, added a youth center, and built partnerships with over a dozen local nonprofits.

Through every season of growth, our mission has remained the same: love God, love people, and serve our community with open hands and open hearts.

What We Believe

Our faith rests on timeless truths we hold with open hands.

Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, our guide for faith, life, and community.

Grace

We believe every person is loved unconditionally by God and welcomed into His family through grace.

Community

We believe the church is meant to be a family — supporting one another through every season of life.

Service

We believe faith without action is incomplete. We are called to love and serve our neighbors.
