How Our Classes Work

Curriculum Built for Real Dancers

Every Momentum program follows a structured, age-appropriate curriculum written by our artistic director Maya Reyes. Classes meet weekly across two semesters (fall and spring) plus a six-week summer intensive — with a Spring Showcase performance on the Durango Arts Center mainstage in May.

Class sizes are capped at twelve dancers so every student gets real corrections, real progress, and real time at the barre. Levels are placement-based, not age-based — meaning a fourteen-year-old who has been dancing since age four can train alongside her technical peers.

From Our Dance Families

Maya placed my daughter into Junior Ballet II based on a five-minute audition and she nailed it. Three years later she's still here, still loving it, and now she's helping the Tiny Dancers warm up.

Parent of a Junior II dancer

I took my first adult tap class at forty-three. Sara made the entire room laugh on the first night and still managed to teach us shuffle-ball-change before we left. I haven't missed a Wednesday since.

Adult Tap student, two seasons in

Devon choreographed our wedding first dance over three lunch-break sessions. Six weeks later we hit every count without a single bobble. Worth every penny and then some.
