Built in the Courtroom
Partners David Barrett and Samantha Cole met as public defenders in La Plata County. After years of handling the most serious cases on the public docket, they founded Barrett & Cole in 2011 to bring that same intensity to private practice.
Today, the firm handles criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation with a trial-ready approach that has earned a reputation throughout Southwest Colorado.
