Our History

Twenty-Five Years of Fighting for Our Clients

James Harrington founded the firm after spending six years as a trial attorney at a large Denver defense firm. He saw firsthand how insurance companies and corporations deployed armies of lawyers against ordinary people. He decided to switch sides.

Sarah Cole joined as a partner in 2002, bringing her expertise in family law and estate planning. Together, they built a firm that combines the firepower of a large practice with the personal service of a boutique attorney-client relationship.

Today, Harrington & Cole employs 12 attorneys across six practice areas, all united by the same founding principle: every client gets direct attorney access, honest communication, and aggressive advocacy.
