We invest in the latest diagnostic equipment so we can catch problems earlier and treat them more precisely.
Optical Coherence Tomography provides cross-sectional images of your retina — detecting macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease years before symptoms appear.
High-resolution wide-field retinal photography captures 82% of the retinal surface in a single image. Your photos are stored and compared year over year to detect any changes.
Detailed maps of your corneal surface shape are essential for contact lens fittings and screening for keratoconus and corneal irregularities before LASIK surgery.
Computerized perimetry testing maps your peripheral vision and detects early signs of glaucoma, neurological conditions, and retinal disease — often before any symptoms appear.
Common questions about our services, insurance, and what to expect at your visit.
A full exam with digital imaging typically takes 60-90 minutes. Please allow extra time if you plan to select eyewear afterward. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early for new patient paperwork.
We accept most major vision insurance plans including VSP, EyeMed, Spectera, Davis Vision, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare. We also file medical insurance for eye disease management. Call us with your insurance information and we will verify your benefits before your appointment.
Adults with healthy eyes should have a comprehensive exam every 1-2 years. Children should have their first exam at 6 months, again at age 3, and before starting school. Patients with diabetes, glaucoma risk, or a history of eye disease should be seen annually or more frequently as recommended by their doctor.
A vision screening (like the chart at a DMV or school) only tests distance visual acuity. A comprehensive eye exam evaluates eye health, peripheral vision, eye pressure, color vision, depth perception, eye muscle coordination, and screens for diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts.
